Barely 24 hours after dissolving the caretaker committees of the 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed has submitted the names of new caretaker chairmen to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for confirmation.
The Speaker of the House of Assembly, Suleiman Abubakar, conveyed the message of the governor at the plenary of the Assembly on Wednesday, requesting screening and confirmation of the nominees.
The House consequently resolved to commence the screening of the nominees on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
