MACBAN condemns attack, killing of Fulanis in Zamfara

The Zamfara State wing of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN on Monday condemned the recent attack by Yansakai, an outlawed vigilante group on an innocent nomadic village in Anka Local Government Area of the state.

The State Public Relations Officer of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Abdulahi Shehu told DAILY POST in a telephone interview that the action was inhuman and condemnable.

“It is inhuman for some outlawed vigilante members to be attacking some law-abiding and innocent Fulani community in some parts of the state,” he lamented.

Shehu described the recent attack in the area by the group of outlawed vigilante members popularly known as Yansakai as barbaric and inhumane, demanding immediate action by the concerned authorities to checkmate their activities in the state.

He assured that the association would join forces with the state government and other conventional security agencies to address the issue of insecurity as a result of activities of armed bandits for peace to reign in the state.

“The association does not support the attacks and kidnappings in Anka, Tsafe and other parts of the state as being speculated in the state.

“I am making it very clear that the MACBAN in Zamfara State has never been involved in sponsoring or masterminding any attack or kidnapping of innocent people in the state. So, we distance ourselves from all the speculations making the rounds in the state”

News Reporter gathered that the group of outlawed vigilante members had recently unleashed an attack on an innocent nomadic village in Anka Local Government Area which resulted in the killing of some Fulani settlers and the destruction of their hamlets.
